Coatesville Youth Initiative's Mission

The Coatesville Youth Initiative (CYI) fosters collaboration among community residents, youth, area businesses, nonprofit and county agencies, youth-serving organizations, the Coatesville Area School District and other educational entities to enhance the knowledge and skills of our youth so that they may reach their fullest potential.

We:

• Support the healthy growth and development of ALL Coatesville youth and emphasize the strengths and assets of youth.
• Help youth develop life and leadership skills necessary to become productive, contributing members of their community.
• Ensure that youth are engaged as leaders and decision-makers in projects, programs and organizations.
• Coordinate existing youth programs and resources.

How we accomplish our goals:

• We build relationships and trust between agencies and organizations.
• We connect parents, youth and organizations to credible and relevant community resources and information.
• We provide opportunities to Coatesville youth that help ensure success in school and facilitate increased connections to resources and opportunities in the Coatesville Community.
